Kate Trainor

Kate is an experienced public relations professional, bringing a background in healthcare, consumer, corporate and non-profit public relations experience to The CHT Group. Prior to joining The CHT Group, she worked on several major healthcare accounts, including Philips Medical Systems, Hawaii Pacific Health and Southcoast Health System. For Philips, Kate provided support for multiple trade shows and medical meetings throughout the year, provided outreach for announcements and developed relationships with trade media through frequent pitching and daily contact with reporters. She worked on all of Philips' business lines, including patient monitoring, healthcare information technology, cardiovascular and general x-ray, CT, MR, ultrasound, home care and corporate.
Additionally, Kate has worked for Staples Inc., Clinique, Hillshire Farm and Mercy Corps. For each of her accounts, Kate has extensively written editorial content and press releases, and has proactively pitched national, local and trade media.
Kate graduated from Boston College with a bachelor's degree in English and communications and earned a Master of Science degree in journalism from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
